“Beat the rush and get in now before she's huge, I say. “ - David, England
"My New Page CD arrived. Wow! This kicks ass!!! When I say it’s a masterpiece and a work of art it’s not an opinion it’s the truth. I would be willing to bet money that a lot of people agree with me. If they have not heard it yet they will agree with me when they do. That’s a fact!!! This is your moment. You worked hard for it and it shows. You took it to the next level. After everything you did, it’s happening and I couldn’t be more happy for you. It was more than with the wait. It’s your time to shine. You are incredibly talented and your dedication and hard work shows. You are recording great music that gets better every time I listen to it. All of your music remains in heavy rotation for a reason. It’s fucking brilliant. Thank you again for you and your music." — KS, Connecticut
"Your music makes me think of something that I might have heard coming from Club 57 on St. Marks Street in the East Village on a spring night in 1984. I would of course then be drawn into the club and be entranced." — SR, NYC
“Michele Ari has just dropped an incredible collection of new music NewPage ep. I would be willing to say that Swept Away and Little Parties should and will be bonafide hits ... and the album is bringing the style of the 80s right into 2022 with some great production with John Ashton along with wonderful musicians Duncan Kilburn, Roger Morris and Mathew Washburn go get it.” -JW, Palm Springs
“Seriously, stop what you’re doing! micheleari ‘s new single is the punchy-driving-pop-hook-filled monster you gotta hear. - DS, Michigan
“Great music!!!!!! The "real" Psychedelic Furs backing Belinda/Go Go's. We want MORE!!!!!! Thanks for this wonderful surprise. Cheers.” - Char & Andy, Port Orange, FL.
“I’m just super happy when my top 3 favorites of yours come on shuffle. Last Rose of Summer, Uncharted Territory, Atom Bombs. I love it bc you really get the emotions in the lyrics, and it's even amplified because I know you. That being said, I swung by to get my mail and found this in my mail. It has really lifted my spirits!!!! It's going to be a good Friday.... One of your songs playing in my "Always on Repeat" playlist. Wish you all the best. I love and respect your drive and passion for your awesome talent. I have the iPod plugged into the speaker bar and the music cranking. "Atom Bombs" just came on...God, I love this song.” - TV, Tampa
"I was listening to Sandy Denny. A wonderful singer like you. You deserve to be recognized" — JB, Devon UK
"I love listening to your songs. I keep singing them in my head." — Lee, UK
"Your voice is stunning!" — Nilly, Israel
“You are one of the most talented songwriters and singers out there in the world today - or any day, for that matter! You have a voice, and a sound, that I could sit back and listen to you sing for hours - maybe days... hell, who really knows how long. Your voice soothes my soul and flames my passion! First I listened to '85th and Nowhere.' Then I listened your recent work. The evolution - in content, and voice, was unbelievable. I went from being blown away by what I was hearing, on the CD, to melding into the headphones and being transported to another place while listening to the mp3s. I know you have been compared to Debbie Harry, who I knew back in her heyday as Blondie. I can tell you without any reservation, that as good as Debbie was, and still is, she cannot hold a candle to the voice and style of Michele Ari." - DF, Nashville
"I love that I can hear and understand the lyrics! I love singing along and bouncing to your rhythms." — JY, Turkey
"I get such positive vibes even with dark, edgy love stories. I love it! So many good things I could say about your emotional music. Very aesthetic, energetic and exciting!" — IE, Sweden
“Any Blondie fans? I just bought Michele Ari’s new album and it has the power pop of Blondie and the power melodic vocals! 100% recommended! As if Michele;s music wasn’t amazing enough (New Wave Blondie) the packaging is stellar! Down to the open gatefold, inside art and even the plastic sleeve instead of shrink wrap - lovely!” -DM, New York
”Congratulations on the rockin' new disc! Your lyrics are poetic with a lot of bite, the tunes bounce with power and the production is clear, tight and full range on the home theater. The fold-out package is cool too. Linda says hi. She likes the album partly because it's upbeat. Maybe we'll run into you while you're in the area.” -BR, Tampa
”I had my first listen today. Wow, it’s a work of art! I love it. Wonderful songs, wonderful production. The hard work and persistence definitely paid off”. -FK, Chicago
“Michele Ari thank you! You are an amazing artist and an inspiration.” - PG, New Jersey
“ I wish I hadn't put off buying this CD as long as I did. I deprived myself of some excellent music and incredible talent. If you were to put Stevie Nicks, Deborah Harry, Patti Smith, and some R.E.M. DNA into a gene-splicer, Michele would be the love child that'd pop out, owning only the best qualities of all the donors. This woman knows how to take you down a blues road, turn a ballad corner, then take off on a classic rock freeway. She really DOES "get it" when it comes to writing intelligent, sensitive, and infectiously hummable songs.
Do yourselves a favor. BUY THIS CD! No matter what genre of music you lean toward, you'll appreciate if not love this addition to you collection. -Lovok, Baltimore

"What do you do when you gave your copy of 85th And Nowhere to Debbie Harry at a concert? Simple: you support the artist (and your deprived ears) and get another copy! This CD is worth repeated listenings, and we (meaning I, other fans, and the public at large) need to hear more of Michele. As for a review, my original one is under l"Lovokl". Bottom line, this CD is worthy of a repeat purchase. -Lovok, Baltimore

"What a great new song! High energy, superb production and yet still has Michele's own brand of poetry intact. Way to go!”- LJ, Tampa Bay
“Effervescent indie pop-punk decadence with a gloriously home-grown DIY sparsity. Michele Ari is constrained only by the shackles of a tight budget. If she was given just a fraction of the cash that's chucked at unimaginative slabs of marketing garnish like Lady Ga Ga she'd quite possibly deliver a fantastic specimen of an album - with world gripping freshness included. To ignore people like Michele in favour of hyperbolic nonsense makers is a deep psychological bruise on the ass of America's music scene." - AB, England
"Forget mentioning you in the same sentence as Debbie Harry, you deserve your own sentence. Keep feeling the love and keep writing...Downloaded Uncharted Territory yesterday, as I sit here this morning I'm playing it for about the 32 time!!! Once again you have cleared an ever rising bar with ease. Delivering her unique style via The Smiths and The Jam, on Little Wars and Elvis Costello on Real. Uncharted Territory is just a fantastic listen, people owe it to their ears to hear this record." -GG, Liverpool
"All the things you love, from another view.
“This is the first album in a long time that made me want to listen to it again and again! like a to new friend with a fresh look on the things you love. Jangly guitar, understatedly bass driven with a vocal that's so nearly Deborah Harry yet not far from Chrissy Hynde, while not trying to be either, this album has so much more than "Pretty", the only let down for me was the backing on "Please" isn't Iggy Pop! To quote a line from the closing track "1'000 Kisses "this could be something", something more than an album worth a listen! “
”I listened to 85th and no where a couple of times last night while i was working on a few bits, it melted its way in to my dreams. You were being inducted into the Rock n' roll hall of fame, you did Nevermind, then Please with Iggy Pop along side you on Vocals. needless to say it was a very cool dream with a kick arse sound track!" Dream with a kick arse sound track! With Admiration" - GG, Liverpool

"As the long lost Richey Edwards once wrote 'all we want from you are the kicks you've given us' The 'kicks' are the great songs you bring us - and all we want from you is more of the same. Uncharted Territory fits that category, thank you. Don't go changing. Purrrr" — BA, Europe

"With a sound that ranges from Rock ballad to Early Punk Rock, from 70s rock to modern pure liquid awesome, Michele Ari is the unsung Hero (no pun intended) of the musical industry. If you haven't heard her music, then you need to... Right now... Go on, I'll wait..." — GS, Nashville
“Michele is a very versatile writer, but on this album the focus is very cerebral, earthy, indie rock, thoughtful songwriter friendly. I know it's been said in reviews, but I will say it again. Michele is much more in tune with the classics of yesterday: Natalie Merchant, Stevie Nicks, even Nico sometimes...than with the dull product that's out today. That's a good thing. There's an earthy genuine feel to all these songs. One of the best positive aspects of this album is the versatility in the songs. Each track has its own mood/feel. One song will have you rockin', then the next almost has a Stevie Nicks "Leather and Lace" feel to it. "Pretty" is a slow burning bluesy number. The best performers/artists are people who aren't afraid to be flawed sometimes. The singers who aren't afraid to go off pitch in order to capture a moment. Kim Carnes herself said it's the "rough edges" that make true art, and truly moving music. On this album, Michele offers a nice balance between refined craft with some genuine grit still intact. And that's essential. Buy this CD.-Jeremy Gloff, Tampa

“It's great to know we've still got rock solid emerging singer/songwriters out there like you! (As opposed to the 'manufactured' talents that seem to get so much air time, living almost totally on auto-tune and a big PR machine) You're a gem with a VERY bright future ahead of you! No question about it!" - PS, Cincinnati
“I am very impressed ...love Uncharted Territory, and waking up listening to 6am (mal apropos)!!! I love your style. I know you have been through alot on you journey. Great job Michele!" - TM, Louisiana
“At least once a month I have Michele Ari day and listen to her over and over again. To say that Michele Ari wails is understatement. To say that she rocks would simply be not enough. How can I convey the essence of Michele's voice, work, words, music in this small box? Michele' voice is majestic and gripping. Her music and lyrics weave you into her clutches forever to be a fan." - Larry, Clearwater, Fl.
“I guess most of the stuff I hear on radio nowadays is fake sounding love songs or party music, but I guess what I mean to say is your songs are written from a different point of view than I’m used to hearing- they are honest. I listened to your CD all day Sunday as I drove around” - DM, Central Florida
“Michele Ari's album 85th and nowhere is a fine collection of original tunes for the discerning consumer of music. Michele has shown with this album that the art of writing good songs is alive and well and for the time being. Expect to hear a lot more from Michele in the near future." - JS, England
“What a great new song! High energy, superb production and yet still has Michele's own brand of poetry intact. It'll make a terrific opener for your next record. (I'm old so I can still call it a record.) Way to go, kiddo! Effervescent indie pop-punk decadence with a gloriously home-grown DIY sparcity. “Michele Ari's music is fresh and captivating, while calling upon some of the most sonically pleasing elements of rock and roll's past. Her work draws inspiration from the sweet, impeccable melodies of 60s pop, as well as the left-of-center, intelligent writing and sounds of new wave and early alternative rock. In the same vein of pioneers such as Debbie Harry and Ronnie Spector, Michele can deliver an unforgettable melody and compelling lyrics, all the while looking too cool to care in a pair of black boots.
Her debut release, '85th and Nowhere,' goes down like sugar and leaves its listener hungry for more. Her vocals are relaxed and unpretentious, exuding ten times more emotion and fragility than any of mainstream radio's current pop crazes. The smoky, sexy 'My Sleeping Beauty,' and the jangling, pretty pop gem 'Please' start the disc with a bang. The title track and 'Nevermind' are a bit more straightforward and aggressive, setting off the dreamier numbers nicely. 'Pretty' has an epic, almost paranoid feel, and is entirely captivating. The sweet, vulnerable '1000 Kisses' is immediately irresistible and serves as a pleasant closer. The album as a whole reveals an artist with true knowledge and respect for those who came before her, and who has one main concern bringing inspired new music into the world." - FK, Chicago
“Michele Ari is a gifted artist and her latest release is a short yet sweet ep that should win her many new fans. 6 am is a depiction of a one-night stand that sees her chant to a Blondie-like tune. Ari's vocal is sweet but has an edge here. Atom Bombs is an appealing song with Ari's singing at its best. The rockin' tune is a bit like the Pretenders at their best. Don't Go is a tough, seemingly poppy track with Ari at her most confident and sweet. Her ep's a real treat and hopefully she'll make a longer record soon." - Anna, Sweden(even reviewers buy Michele’s music! Anna isn’t the only one who has. )
“I am very impressed with your work...love Uncharted Territory, and wake up listening to 6am (mal apropos)!!! I not only greatly enjoy her music, but on a more personal level I enjoy interacting with her, listening to her viewpoints, and I love her style. She has been through alot on her journey, I hope she has smoother roads ahead...great job michele." - TM, Texas
"What an awesome refreshing cd. Drawing from a list of influences that include Joni Mitchell, Patti Smith, The Church, The Turtles, The Ronettes and plenty more this cd sounds very emotional and unique. The lyrics hit right to the bone. Some of the songs seem to be about fallen friends or failed relationships and Michele comes out on top watching from a distance. My Sleeping Beauty has some great guitar work, the keyboards and strong beat of Please will keep in your head for days. Michele mixes styles up a bit with great success Pretty is slow and bluesy. The cd ends on a positive note 1000 Kisses. Its slower, optimistic and more acoustic based. The cd leaves you hungry for more and Michele is currently in Atlanta working on new material and getting her new band together. I look forward to the next release. “- A nice person
“The music you'll find here is a rare find - gutsy, hip, folky, haunting, bittersweet and refreshing. A real gem on the album for me was '1,000 Kisses' a song which was at once light and whimsical while deep and soulful, with an overall sense of playfulness and experience. It's one of those songs you want to listen to over and over again, each time shedding another layer of smiles and sighs. Try listening to it just once and you'll see what I mean.” Victor, Los Angeles

“Already making waves, having won Moray Firth Radio's 'Shandy Showcase' with 100% of the listener vote (yes, that's right - EVERYONE who voted that night voted for Michele), 85th And Nowhere will, if there's any justice in the world, be one of those albums that end up being sold on ebay in years to come for the price of a small African village, because if there's any justice in the world, Michele Ari's name will be one you'll hear a lot of.
“100% of listeners can't be wrong. Mix the best bits of Maria McKee and Kasey Chambers, add a dash of Chrissie Hynde, and then garnish with a sprinkle of Debbie Harry, and you've got the voice of Michele Ari. Already making waves, having won Moray Firth Radio's 'Shandy Showcase' with 100% of the listener vote (yes, that's right - EVERYONE who voted that night voted for Michele), 85th And Nowhere will, if there's any justice in the world, be one of those albums that end up being sold on ebay in years to come for the price of a small African village, because if there's any justice in the world, Michele Ari's name will be one you'll hear a lot of."
“Musically, the title track and Please both bring back memories of REM when they were good (remember that?), while Pretty wouldn't be out of place on any of the established 'classics' of the rock canon. As for 1000 Kisses, the fact that Michele hasn't yet had her door beaten down by someone from Hollywood, desperate to include the song on their latest rom-com soundtrack, proves once and for all that the movie industry really is full of people with no sense and no ears."
“ Lyrically, the album varies between beautiful poetry and every day universal themes (is there anyone out there who can't identify with the story behind Nevermind's 'Woke up in last night's make-up, wearing last night's dress'?), and it's this combination of the lyrics, the musicianship, and, most of all, the voice, that makes 85th And Nowhere a joy to listen to."
“ The most remarkable thing about the CD is the songs that AREN'T on it. Anyone who's regularly visited Michele's Myspace page over the past year or so will have heard songs that are easily the equal of any of those that made the final cut, which other artists would have earmarked as singles."
“My only complaint about the album would be that it's too short. I want more!
Always leave them wanting more, they say.
Beat the rush and get in now before she's huge, I say. “ - David, England
